2. Want Your Hair to Grow?
To stimulate hair growth, massage your scalp for at least one minute while shampooing.
3. Want Less Breakage?
Guava is packed with Vitamin C, which protects your hair from breaking. This tropical fruit 377 milligrams of Vitamin C, 4 times more than the recommended daily amount.
4. Going Grey?
Don’t pluck the hair! Plucking will damage the hair follicle and the strand may never grow back. Hair naturally thins as you grow older, so hold onto it! Grey hair is healthy hair, just without pigmentation.
5. Green With Chlorine?
Chlorine makes hair dry, brittle, and dull. Wet you hair throughly with clean water before swimming. It’ll dilute the effects of chlorine!
6. Having a Problem With Frizzy Waves?
Keep your defined waves away from static. After you’ve shampooed, conditioned, and applied dry oil into your hair, take out the blow dry! Once your hair is dry, put it in a bun! The frizz fighting happens as your hair cools.
7. Feeling Dull?
Is your hair beginning to feel dull and lifeless? Visit your hairstylist! Trimming your hair will encourage growth by getting rid of dry, damaged, broken, or split ends. Your fresh ends and new style will surely brighten up your week!
8. It Can Wait
DO NOT cut your hair before your wedding! Women, trim your ends a few months in advance for healthy looking hair. Be sure to keep your strands nourished! Men, no less than 2 weeks before your special day.
9. Tired of Your Hair Tie Showing?
We’ve got your solution! After you’ve tied your ponytail, grab a section from your ponytail (about the width of your pinky finger) and wrap it around the base. Tuck in any loose ends and secure with a bobby pin.
10. Know Your Brushes!
Each brush has its own unique purpose! Round barrel brushes are for adding volume and curl. Paddle brushes are for smoothing. Vent brushes help speed up blow drying time. Teasing brushes are for ultimate volume.
11. Coconut Hair Cocktail
Once a week apply cocoa butter as a treatment mask to your hair. Let it sit for half an hour. Rinse it out with coconut water. This will leave your hair unbelievably soft and shiny!
12. Comb Away
If you’re detangling wet hair, skip the brush! A wide toothed comb is best for preventing breakage.
13. Craving Bangs?
Craving Bangs but scared to commit? Enjoy a new hairstyle without having any hair clipped!
- Create a high ponytail.
- Pull out a chunk of your hair from the front of your ponytail and place it over your forehead.
- Secure the section in place with bobby pins.
- Style the remainder of your ponytail up into a bun and say hello to your new look!
14. Dry Before You Style
Never use a curling iron or hair straightener on wet or damp hair. Placing a heat tool on wet hair creates very hot steam, causing slow and inevitable damage.
15. Tame Baby Hairs
Baby Hairs and Cowlicks can be annoying. To tame them, spray a toothbrush with strong hold hairspray and comb them down so they’ll sit with the rest of your hair.
16. Hey Men – Wax Be Gone!
The best way to deal with wax is to apply shampoo to dry hair and rinse. Be sure to follow this step with another application of shampoo. You’ll find that this method helps to breakdown the product and leave hair clean.
17. The Pineapple Trick
Pineappling is a technique in which hair is loosely gathered at the highest point of the head, usually before sleep. This protects curl pattern while helping your hair maintain natural volume. Simply take it out when you’re ready to wear it down.
18. DIY Dry Shampoo
Make your own dry shampoo for dark hair: Mix 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of corn starch, and a dash of cinnamon. Apply at your roots and shake through with your fingers for a refreshed head of hair! Warning: This dry shampoo can lead to chocolate cravings!
When curling your hair with a curling iron, start from the middle, not the ends of your hair. This will ensure longer lasting curls.
20. Aspirin Repair
Every two weeks, crush up one aspirin in your regular shampoo routine and lather up. The salicylic acid content in aspirin helps banish dullness from your hair by clearing build up, revealing healthy looking hair.
